Beautiful Coastline

The surviving part of the London Bridge
Four of the remaining eight apostles
Today we drove along the coast from the caravan park in Warrnambool to a camp called Kangaroobie.  On the way, we saw some gorgeous rock formations created by the erosion of sandstone cliffs lining the coast.  The most famous are called the Twelve Apostles after Jesus' disciples.  Currently there are eight left of the original twelve.  The other four collapsed.   Each of these are pillars sticking out of the water close to the shore.  Also along our drive we saw a formation called the London Bridge.  It was originally the shape of a bridge with two supporting arches that extended out into the ocean, but after much erosion the arch connecting the formation to the mainland collapsed isolating an arch in the middle of the water.  This island is entirely sandstone with some light shrubbery on top.
